System Requirements

PIM-Enterprise is a software solution that is typically installed on the customer premise.  As such these are the requirements for installation and operation.


For installation on a single PC by a single user

  • Windows 10 64 bit
  • Quad-core CPU operating at 2 GHz or greater
  • 8GB RAM
  • SQL Express 2017 or greater installed locally
  • Local storage for item assets (images/documents) as needed (minimum of 20GB recommended)
  • LAN speed access to the ERP database
  • Internet Access
  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7 (or greater)
  • Highly Recommended - 24" monitor at 1920x1080 or greater resolution
  • Highly Recommended - Offsite backup of the PC and all contents
  • Highly Recommended - Excel installed to view and edit import files


For installation on a network or access by multiple users

  • In addition to or in place of single PC installation requirements
  • SQL Server version 2017 or greater with a minimum 8GB RAM dedicated to SQL
    • SQL Server must be accessible by all clients via LAN connections and installed on a central server
    • SQL Express is acceptable
    • The SQL server may be shared with other applications and does not have to be dedicated solely to the PIM
  • PIM Database on the SQL Server must grant access a PIM user which is used by the PIM software.  
  • Recommended database size is 1 GB available space per 50,000 items (space requirements may vary)
  • Shared storage for item assets (images/documents) accessible via a UNC path
  • This storage must allow for read/write/edit/delete for all PIM users
  • Highly Recommended - Excel installed for the user to view and edit import files


For installation of PIM-Enterprise client on an RDP server

  • Windows Server 2016 64 bit or greater
  • RDP Installation must meet installation requirements for network installation
  • RDP Server Requirements
    • Quad-core CPU operating at 2 GHz or greater
    • 4GB-8GB RAM per application instance (requirements vary by number of SKUs)
    • RDP server should be on the same LAN as the users for best performance
    • RDP server should have Excel installed and accessible to users to view and edit import files
    • RDP RemoteApp is not supported but may function, however, desktop operation of PIM is recommended
    • Internet Access
